In my spare time I play the bagpipes with the The Hague Highland Pipe Band .
Besides the Highland Pipes I also play a set of bellows blown Upper-D Shepherd Smallpipes.
To typeset the scores for our band I have written a small perl program to convert
files in the BGP notation (as used by
'Piob Mhor
',
it seems this link is now defunct) into
bagpipe TeX
format.
It is called bgp2tex. It is free, and you can download it from
here
.

Bagpipe TeX requires a working installation of the TeX typesetting system, and
the MusicTeX macro package.
